Cut avocado in half being careful not to cut the seed. Twist avocado apart.  To remove the seed, "catch" the seed with the sharp part of the blade by inserting the side of the blade into the seed and twist slightly. To remove the flesh of the avocado, I use a spoon, inserted between the skin and the flesh. Scoop out your flesh, chop or mash depending on your desired texture.
